Biography

Lorimer Dawson is the Managing Partner at McCuaig Desrochers LLP and conducts a general corporate and commercial practice.

Lorimer was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 1979, having obtained his B.A./B.Sc. at the University of Lethbridge and his LL.B at the University of Alberta.  He was formerly an instructor for the Alberta Bar Admission Course in the areas of Company Law and the Legal Profession. Lorimer has been active in numerous community groups, is a former Director of the Family Service Association of Edmonton, former President of an Edmonton Child Education Society, was a member of the Fundraising Committee to Stop Violence Against Women and is a member of the Advisory Committee for the Grant MacEwan University Legal Assistants Program.

Since 2004, Lorimer has also been a member of the Northwest Territories Bar.
