Michael Simons assists clients with their estate planning needs, including the preparation of Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney, Personal Directives, and also provides legal services for the Administration of Estates (Probate).  He works with clients involved in the purchase and sale of both commercial and residential real estate.  Michael also deals extensively in corporate and incorporation matters, commercial financing and business transactions such as business purchases and sales, new business start-ups and mergers and acquisitions.   

Michael is actively involved in the legal community as a member of the Law Society of Alberta, serving on the Edmonton Executive of the Mortgage Loans Association of Alberta, and the Canadian Bar Association including the Business Law and Real Property sections and serving on the executive of the Wills & Estates section.
 
Prior to entering into the practice of law Michael had a six-year career in the post privatization retail and wholesale wine and spirits industry and has been active in several political organizations and campaigns.  As a partner with McCuaig Desrochers LLP, Michael endeavors to assist clients with practical legal advice drawing upon his business, political and community experience.
