Eric J. Mahood
Eric Mahood completed his articles with McCuaig Desrochers LLP and became an associate at the firm in September 2015.
Eric has a general practice, and enjoys helping clients with immigration law issues including complicated work permit or permanent resident applications. Eric also enjoys assisting clients with general litigation matters, family law, and general commercial law, including franchise issues.
Eric graduated from the University of Alberta with a Juris Doctor in 2014. During law school Eric worked for Student Legal Services as the Legal Education and Reform Coordinator. In that role he gave legal assistance to homeless individuals in Edmonton’s inner city, and prepared and delivered legal lectures on a wide variety of topics. While at law school Eric and his wife also owned and operated a coffee store and bakery on campus.
Prior to law school Eric received a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours from the University of Alberta, and worked as an employment counselor for Edmonton inner city residents. Outside of law school Eric is an avid skier and is a member of the board of the Brail Tones Music Society of Canada.
